The MSRC Re-Elects its Chair and Vice Chair for 2023-2024

The MSRC’s leadership will continue to remain strong in the coming year. For the sixth consecutive year, Larry McCallon, Mayor of the City of Highland, was elected to serve as Chairman of the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC).  Larry has been a member of the MSRC since 2013 representing the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, and served for four terms as the MSRC’s Vice-Chair.  Larry has been on the Highland City Council since 2002 and represents the Cities of San Bernardino County on the Governing Board of the South Coast Air Quality Management District. He is a Past President of the Southern California Association of Governments where he has represented the cities of Highland and San Bernardino on its Regional Council.

“I am looking forward to leading the MSRC for the upcoming year, as we focus on medium- and heavy-duty clean transportation programs,” Larry said. “We look forward to awarding the MSRC’s Clean Transportation Funding to innovative projects like zero-emission goods movement infrastructure and zero-emission microtransit services to help fill the gaps for those organizations pursuing clean air projects.”

Brian Berkson, Council Member for the City of Jurupa Valley, was elected to serve for a fourth term as Vice Chairman. Brian represents the Riverside County Transportation Commission, where he serves as Chair for both the Western Riverside County Programs and Projects Committee and the Toll Policy and Operations Committee.

Thank you for your continued leadership, Larry and Brian!
